Jakarta, InfoPublik – Cancer is one of the diseases that is the focus of the health transformation program of the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes).
Various efforts have been made to control cancer, including facilitating public access to safe, quality and affordable cancer drugs.
The Director General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices at the Ministry of Health, Rizka Andalucia, said that the latest innovation is facilitating community access to cancer drugs digitally through the latest version of SATUSEHAT Mobile (5.4.4).
Through the Wiki Medicines feature, it is easier for the public to access cancer drug information, starting from descriptions, general indications, composition, warnings, and side effects of drugs circulating in Indonesia.
“We prepare data and information on cancer drugs in a transparent manner, right down to information on drug prices, to facilitate public access to the drugs they need,” said Rizka as quoted InfoPublik Saturday (22/4/2023).
Users can also access information on the availability of cancer drugs and their prices at the hospital. The drug information in the Cancer Medicine Wiki feature uses standard data from the Pharmacy and Medical Devices Dictionary (KFA), as well as price information from the relevant hospital.
Currently, the public can access information on 152 types of cancer drugs and their prices through SATUSEHAT Mobile. This number will continue to grow until all types of cancer drugs are complete and information is available on SATUSEHAT Mobile.
The Cancer Medicine Wiki feature was socialized on April 12, 2023 to hospitals serving cancer patients and foundations working in the cancer field.
Rizka said that with the availability of the Cancer Drug Wiki feature in SATUSEHAT Mobile, it will be easier for the public to access information on the availability of cancer drugs and their prices in a transparent manner.
“In this way, people can get medicine more quickly and health services for cancer patients can run better,” said Rizka.
Representative of the Indonesian Cancer Child Care Foundation (YKAKI) Ira Soelistyo said the Cancer Medicine Wiki feature was something positive. The public can find out more about drug information through the SatuSehat application.
Through this feature, users can immediately find out where the availability of medicines, especially cancer drugs, are needed by the community. Communities can also complement each other, control each other’s availability and distribution of drugs.
“Hopefully this will get better, especially cancer treatment services in children. I really salute the breakthrough made by the Ministry of Health, where users can get direct information,” he said.
Ira continued, as a representative of children with cancer, it was very easy to find information about the existence of drugs. This is a quantum leap especially from what the Ministry of Health is doing.
“Salute and special thanks to the Minister of Health, Mr. Budi Gunadi, and of course all staff. A very innovative application,” said Ira.
