Former governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Satya Pal Malik, has been summoned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the Reliance Insurance corruption case. This news comes after farmer leader Rakesh Tikait claimed that Malik had been arrested by Delhi police, a claim which the police denied, stating that Malik had come to the police station willingly and could leave at his own will. However, several Khap leaders were detained at Malik’s house. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal praised the farmers for their courage and called Malik a coward for not speaking out against the government’s agricultural reforms.
BKU claims Satyapal Malik and supporters arrested, Delhi police counters saying he came on his own. CBI summons Malik in corruption case.
