Landau (ots)
On Friday afternoon, a 22-year-old and a 24-year-old woman from the Germersheim district were caught in the act of shoplifting in a fashion store in downtown Landau. The shop detective was able to observe how the two women took clothing worth around 400 euros into the changing room and then wanted to go through the checkout without paying for the goods. A check revealed that the two suspects had removed the price tag from the stolen goods using scissors. Both women admitted the crime and justified their crime due to financial problems. Criminal proceedings were initiated against both women.
