The Vice President of Indonesia, Ma’ruf Amin, encouraged the public to celebrate Eid al-Fitr 1 Shawwal 1444 Hijriah while maintaining order, solidarity, and unity. The Ministry of Religious Affairs confirmed that 1 Shawwal 1444 Hijri or Eid al-Fitr 2023 AD would fall on Saturday. Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Muhadjir Effendy, appealed to all Muslims to celebrate Eid al-Fitr in simplicity. The message during Eid al-Fitr is one of peace and unity.
