Made up of 16 blocks, the people of Pinar del Río will parade in the capital city on May 1st. The concentration was called for 7:30 in the morning.
As usual, next to the highest leadership of the province there will be a representation of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution (ACRC), and it will be them, with their passage through José Martí avenue, who will open the parade.
The first block of workers will be the affiliates of the Energy and Mines union, in recognition of the work carried out in the recovery process after the passage of Ian; The communicators will follow him, another of the seasoned sectors that fought arduously to compensate for the losses caused by the meteor.
From the third to the seventh block, the following sectors are found in this order: Construction, Industry, Health, Education and Culture; As every year, the different groups are urged to show their initiatives and creative capacity.
The workers of the different entities belonging to Commerce, Public Administration, Food Industry, Transport and Tourism will be the unions that will parade between the eighth and twelfth position; followed by agriculture, forestry and tobacco.
Affiliates to the Civil Defense Union and members of the National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP) will precede the youth. They are the ones with the fewest years who will close the parade, with representatives from all sectors of society.
Rubén LLoga Sixto, general secretary of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba (CTC), in Pinar del Río, pointed out that, in addition to the historical and traditional motivations for celebrating this May Day, for the people of Pinar del Río it is the opportunity to, as a people, concentrate in one place, recognize the delivery, courage and heroism of the recovery days.
There is still much to be done, because there are 70,000 affected families pending a solution to the damage to their homes, but 30 percent have already found a solution and it is by putting their hands and heart into the Homeland that will make up for those losses.
