The Giza Zoo opened its doors from seven thirty in the morning, unusually, to receive Egyptian families who love to visit it during the first days of Eid Al-Fitr.
A number of visitors to the park on the first days of Eid al-Fitr expressed their keenness to bring their families and visit the park from time to time, especially during holidays and official occasions.
Engineer Ahmed Issa, a worker in the technical education sector, said that his family does not feel the holiday unless they visit the zoo after performing the Eid prayer, stressing that it is a safe place for his children to enjoy.
And Aida Ibrahim, 50, supported him in saying, saying: Since I was six years old, my father used to accompany me with him because of his love for animals, hence my love for the garden and I try to get my children back to know each animal and its characteristics and take memorial photos with the lion cubs.
The park witnessed a large audience of more than 40,000 visitors, according to official statements by Major General Muhammad Ragai, the park’s director.
On the other hand, Ragai indicated, in statements to Masrawy, that the park development plan has been approved by the Egyptian state, and implementation will start according to the appropriate timing.
Ragai said that rest and vacations for all park workers were suspended until next Monday, in coordination with security agencies and ambulances to provide the best service to visitors.
It is new to mention that the Zoo in Giza is located on an area of 80 acres and contains cultural, social and recreational activities for visitors.
