If you’re not a Snapchat+ subscriber, bad luck!
Bad news: If you’re not a Snapchat+ subscriber, you can’t remove My AI from your chat feed.
Snapchat announced the global rollout of My AI on Wednesday (April 19) and users are already fed up with its placement at the top of their chat feeds. Originally exclusive to Snapchat+ subscribers, you now need to subscribe (for a fee of $3.99 per month) to get rid of My AI.
The feature appears in users’ chat streams with a customizable Bitmoji avatar and runs on OpenAI’s GPT technology. My AI responds to your messages like a friend. You can also ask her for recommendations on Lenses to use or places to visit and send her a Snap and receive a response in the chat. But many Snapchatters want their real friends at the top of their chat feeds, instead of My AI.
If you are subscribed to Snapchat+, here are the two ways to unpin it.
