The AI-assisted song, featuring automated vocals from Drake and The Weeknd and imitation of DJ and music producer Metro Boom, was released by anonymous TikTok user ‘ghostwriter977’.
The fans of both the pop singers say that after hearing the song, they lost their minds. The artificial intelligence has imitated the voice of both the same. Many people mistakenly heard the song as Drake’s voice.
The AI-generated music video, which garnered 11 million views after being uploaded on April 15, has now been removed from all streaming platforms. The label representing both singers intervened and removed the song from streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. YouTube and Tik Tok have already pulled the song. The reason is none other than the ‘copyright’ issue itself.
Republic Records holds the licensing and marketing rights to distribute the music of The Weeknd, Drake and Metro Boomin. Despite the cleverness behind it, the music had to be removed from YouTube and other sites due to copyright claims. However, Heart on My Sleeve is circulating on social media including Twitter..
