Malou Pangalangan, the Pit Manager of Casino Filipino Cebu, has passed the 2022 Philippine Bar Examination. She always wanted to become a lawyer, but the challenge of earning a living while pursuing law made her think twice. She had been working with PAGCOR for the last 18 years, and for her, pursuing a law degree while working was difficult as work schedules did not permit. Despite that, she always knew that she wanted to become a lawyer.
She eventually pursued her dream, six months before the bar exam, after taking temporary leave from her job without pay to prepare and review for the exams. She endured all the challenges that came her way because she knew that success came with perseverance. The perseverance paid off when the results of the 2022 Philippine Bar Examination were released, and her name appeared among the successful examinees.
She credits PAGCOR for helping her realize her dream, and she does not mind leaving the gaming operations in the future to join the agency’s team of competent lawyers. Pangalangan wants to practice her law profession first with PAGCOR before pursuing other related endeavors outside of it.
Pangalangan’s achievement can inspire many, as it shows that with perseverance and hard work, one can pursue their dreams and succeed. Her journey shows that pursuing a law degree while working is difficult but not impossible. With dedication and determination, one can achieve their dreams, even if they seem out of reach.
