“My health space”: this is how the digital health record has been renamed. If he struggled to meet with success, this new version of the famous notebook seems to take off, according to AFP.
13% of the population requested the keys to their access to “My health space” in one year
In just over a year, 8.4 million people have requested the keys to their digital safe. But it is above all the use of the tool, which the Ministry of Health welcomes, still according to AFP.
In effect, nearly 10 million documents are thus deposited each month in digital health records patients by hospitals, practitioners or even laboratories. That is half of the 250 million documents stored per year, the long-term objective set for this digital health record. If hospitals and medical analysis laboratories are the main suppliers of documents, the challenge now is to convince liberal practitioners, reports AFP.
“My health space” can indeed accommodate different types of documents:
- prescriptions;
- biological analyses;
- medical imaging;
- hospitalization reports;
- other health documents.
Each insured person has a health space
This is the big difference with previous attempts of the genre: unless the insured objected in writing, his space was created automatically. It should be noted that following a call for a boycott launched by La Quadrature du net, which pointed the finger at the management of user consent, for it neither “respectful”, nor “reliable”, nor “realistic” only 2% of French people refused creating their notebook.
“My health space” will also benefit from new features in the coming months, in particular: the connection of its secure messaging system and its agenda with services like Doctolib, or the storage of data provided by objects such as the blood sugar level of a diabetic sensor or the weight of a connected scale.
This health space will also be used for prevention purposes with reminders of vaccination dates or proposals for health checks according to age, for example.
Health: a key element also for borrower insurance
All borrowers must take out loan insurance when taking out a home loan. For this he must complete a health questionnaire. Having digitized elements such as those that can be accommodated in a digital health record can therefore be useful for the borrower who completes this questionnaire, having all this information “at hand”.
Note that it is possible to avoid this famous health questionnaire for borrower insurance, thanks to the Lemoine law of 2022under certain conditions :
- outstanding mortgages must be of a amount less than €200,000 (per insured);
- the repayment of the mortgage must end before the borrower turns 60.
But in all cases, questionnaire or not, it remains possible to play the competitiona useful step to obtain a competitive contract in terms of coverage and price.
