PDIP Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri to Announce Ganjar Pranowo as Preferred Presidential Candidate for 2024 Election

Chairman PDIP Megawati Sukarnoputri rumored to be announced Ganjar Pranowo as the PDI-P’s preferred presidential candidate 2024 presidential electionFriday (21/4).

Source CNNIndonesia.com stated that the appointment of Ganjar as the PDIP presidential candidate would later be held in Batu Tulis, Bogor, and attended by President Jokowi.

Jokowi’s presence at Ganjar’s announcement strengthened the president’s political attitude, which so far has often alluded to Ganjar as one of the successors to the nation’s leadership relay.

It all started when Jokowi asked the people to vote for a white-haired figure in the 2024 presidential election.

Jokowi said that the public must be extra careful in voting in the 2024 presidential election and suggested that the person to be elected is one who thinks about his people.

This was conveyed by Jokowi in front of thousands of volunteers at the Bung Karno Stadium (GBK) on Saturday (26/11). He said that a person who thinks about the people among them is visible from their appearance.

“From their appearance, you can see there are lots of wrinkles because they think about the people, some have all white hair, that’s it. If the face is clingy and there are no wrinkles on the face, be careful. Look at the hair, if it’s all white, it’s thinking about the people,” said Jokowi.

At that time, a number of politicians and political observers immediately associated the white-haired figure with Ganjar Pranowo.

Since then, Ganjar’s name has continued to adorn the electability survey of figures in the 2024 presidential election. Until now, Ganjar continues to be among the top 3 names in the presidential candidate poll, competing with Prabowo Subianto and Anies Baswedan.

Even though Ganjar had previously been summoned by the PDI-P Honorary Council because he was deemed to have violated instructions regarding political communication related to the 2024 Presidential Election.

This is related to Ganjar on October 18, 2022 who declared his readiness to run for president. Ganjar explained that all party members must be ready if they are indeed promoted to become president.

PDIP also emphasized that the determination of internal party presidential candidates was fully under the authority of Megawati as chairperson.

Now, the PDIP has decided on Ganjar as the PDIP presidential candidate to run for the 2024 presidential election.

Megawati will announce Ganjar as the PDIP presidential candidate directly through social media platforms and PDIP digital channel channels.

The news regarding the plan to announce Ganjar Pranowo as the PDIP’s preferred presidential candidate has been confirmed by three sources from CNNIndonesia.com from among the top officials and central management of the PDIP.

The announcement of the PDIP presidential candidate is planned to be attended by President Jokowi, Prananda Prabowo, Puan Maharani, Olly Dondokambey, Hasto Kristiyanto and Ganjar Pranowo himself.
