In Champs-sur-Marne, a 75-year-old grandmother was attacked by her grandson who tried to suffocate her with a cushion. The latter was arrested naked on his exercise bike
A 24-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday for an attempted homicide on his grandmother, with whom he lived in Champs-sur-Marne, BFMTV learned from a source close to the investigation. It was the 75-year-old victim who alerted the police around 4 a.m.
Heard on Wednesday, this lady says that her grandson entered her room in the middle of the night before throwing himself on her. He would have grabbed a cushion to slap him on his face. Without being able to say how long the attack lasted, the victim, who could no longer breathe, said that his grandson stopped on his own.
After taking refuge in her bathroom, she realizes that she has a wound on her neck, bruises all over her body and blood in her hair.
Arrived on the spot, the police discover the attacker in the room he occupies on the ground floor, completely naked, riding an exercise bike. In his room, various objects are seized: a bloody knife, screwdrivers, a hammer also with traces of blood.
A “mental pathology” mentioned
After initial medical examinations, the grandmother was transported to the hospital without her vital prognosis being engaged. The suspect is also hospitalized after the discovery of various traces of scarification on his chest and abdomen by a doctor.
After the first hearings of family members which took place on Wednesday, it would appear that the attacker, who had lived with his grandmother for two years, had been withdrawn for a year and had an unexplained resentment vis-à-vis of it. A relative evokes a mental illness.
