Meanwhile, the Omani endowment reported that Saturday will be the first day of Eid due to the lack of sighting of the crescent of the month of Shawwal, which means that Friday will be the 30-day supplement to the month of Ramadan.
It is noteworthy that the blessed month of Ramadan began on Thursday, March 23, in 27 Arab and Islamic countries, including Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Palestine, and Muslim communities in France, Austria and the Australian continent.
The crescent of the month of Shawwal will be sighted in most Arab and Islamic countries on the evening of Ramadan 29 1444 AH, corresponding to Thursday, April 20, 2023.
