According to the news of AA, the Chairman of the Board of Sevre Hospital in Sana, under the control of the Houthis, Dr. Mutahhir Murshid, speaking to al-Mesirah television, said that a businessman in Sana’a had a stampede during the distribution of cash aid.
Murshid announced that 78 people died in the stampede and more than 150 people were injured.
On the other hand, Abdulhalik al-Aceri, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior in Sana, said that the aid work in question was carried out without coordination with the Ministry of Interior, and therefore two businessmen were detained.
Aceri noted that an investigation was initiated after the security forces in Sana moved to the region.
