Una O’Malley, also known as Una DuffyMace, passed away in her 90th year at the Carra Suite, Sacred Heart Hospital Castlebar, surrounded by her loved ones. She was predeceased by her husband, Tommie, and is survived by her family members: Maureen Scott, Catherina and Paddy Joe, Margaret Stephens, sons-in-law Jimmy and Noel, daughter-in-law Mary, and Catherina’s partner Eddie. She is also survived by her grandchildren Louise, Michael, Thomas, Brian, Conor, Aimee, Lorna, and Sarah, as well as her brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbors, and a large circle of friends.
Her funeral will take place on Saturday with Una’s body repose in Aughagower Community Centre on Friday evening. Her Requiem Mass will take place on Saturday at 12 noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. For those who cannot attend, the Mass will be streamed live on the website Churchtv.ie/Aughagower.
