Minister of Health Faces Angry Demonstrators at Langon Hospital in Gironde

While everything is going badly at the Langon hospital, in Gironde, the Minister of Health, François Braun, came there for a little tour on April 17. He was welcomed as he deserves by nearly 200 demonstrators who came to express their anger against the situation of hospitals and the pension reform. There were a large number of agents from the Langon hospital, La Réole, the Cadillac CHS, the Podensac retirement home, the Bordeaux University Hospital.

The minister had to cut short his visit and left under the boos of the demonstrators. It is not the 40 million he promised for the renovation of the Langon hospital that will calm the anger, while this minister, like his predecessors, is pursuing a policy of breaking the hospital. As one nurse denounced, this will in no way solve the problems of lack of resources and understaffing.
