“Fatal Parking Lot Collapse Leaves One Dead and Five Injured in Lower Manhattan”

At least one person died and five were injured in a partial collapse of a parking lot in lower Manhattan on Tuesday, New York authorities said.

“There were six workers in the building when it collapsed. Four of them were hospitalized and are in stable condition. One person died and one person refused treatment,” said John Esposito, a New York Fire Department official at a press conference.

Footage circulating on social media showed overturned cars and smoke billowing from the collapsed building.
