Two men suffered burns in an incident at Stryker’s Anngrove plant at the IDA Business Park in Carrigtwohill, East Cork, on Tuesday afternoon. The cause of the incident remains under investigation by the Health and Safety Authority (HSA). One man is in a serious condition in hospital with extensive burns while the second person’s condition is not serious. The plant was shut down following the incident. Emergency services, including the Cork County Fire Service and the National Ambulance Service, attended the scene. Stryker is cooperating with authorities and said that its emergency response team managed the incident.
