Libreville, Tuesday April 18, 2023 (Gabon Info) – The resident representative of the World Health Organization went last Friday to share his professional experience with the 2,200 students of this school in the commune of Akanda.
As part of the fourth edition of the Day of Excellence organized last Friday at Mikolongo high school in the town of Akanda, Dr. Magaran Manzon Bagayogo, resident representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Gabon was Featured. At the invitation of the Minister of National Education, Carmelia Ntoutoume Leclercq, the UN diplomat, presented as a model of success, went to share his life experience with the 2,200 students in this school. Without taboos and with an open heart, this child from a modest family, but who has nearly thirty years of professional experience in health, went to give some leads to success for these learners.
According to the speaker, no success is achieved without discipline, patience, humility, hard work and ambition. “The students, our children tend to lose their bearings. They no longer have social identification, role models and above all professional role models,” lamented the host of the Mikolongo high school. He also supports his argument by reminding learners that it is important to have an ideal in life. This also goes through work. “Nothing is taken for granted. You have to have ambition, be disciplined and be responsible. Everyone is the baker of their life,” he said. Before welcoming this fine initiative by the Minister of National Education, Carmelia Ntoutoume Leclercq, supported by the IMF.
On behalf of the Minister of National Education, the Inspector General of Services, Emmanuela Biyi Minko, insisted on recalling the Minister’s vision by establishing these days. “You are all familiar with the national competition for the best students, which was instituted two years ago by Minister Carmelia Ntoutoume Leclercq. This aims to promote the culture of excellence by developing in learners that you are a healthy competitive spirit”, she underlined.
