Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has declared that there is no unrest among the Banjara community in the state, and that all problems have been resolved. Yediyurappa made his comments after a protest by members of the Banjara and Bhovi communities, during which stones were thrown at his residence and office in the Shivamogga district. The protest had been staged against the internal reservation for Scheduled Castes announced by the BJP government. Yediyurappa said that he is confident that all communities, including the Banjara community, are supporting the government.
