Farmers hurried to plant potatoes

As in previous years, Irma and Ramūnas Baniulaičiai from Antanavisa are among the first to plant potatoes in our region.

When the weather warmed up, farmers drove their machinery into the fields and started planting potatoes in the lighter soil that had time to dry out.

The thermal energy supplying company LITESKO implemented another clean energy project in Marijampolė municipality. In the city’s boiler house, the company installed an electrostatic filter for the biofuel steam boiler, which will effectively clean the smoke emitted into the environment from solid particles. This will make it possible to achieve this year that the indicator of solid particles meets the new pollution norms, which will come into force only in 2025.
