Thiruvananthapuram: The second trial run of the Vande Bharat Express train has started. The trial run started at 5.20 am from Thiruvananthapuram railway station. The second test run of Vande Bharat will be till Kasaragod. The train leaves Kasaragod for Thiruvananthapuram in the afternoon and returns in the evening.
Last day, the train made its first trial run from Thiruvananthapuram to Kannur in 7 hours and 10 minutes. After this, many people demanded that the train should be extended to Kasaragod. Following this, the Railway Minister, who made the official announcement of the train, stated that the service will run from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod.
In the first reach from Thiruvananthapuram to Kollam, the speed was up to 90 km. The train which reached Kollam in 50 minutes took two hours and 16 minutes to reach Kottayam.
Vandebharat train fare from Thiruvananthapuram to Kannur has been announced. The fare from Thiruvananthapuram to Kannur in economy coach is Rs.1400. The fare from Thiruvananthapuram to Kannur in executive coach is Rs.2400. The final announcement of the fare will be made after the second run.
The train will have 12 economy coaches with 78 seats each and 2 executive coaches with 54 seats. There will be two more coaches with 44 seats each, front and rear.
