This Monday, April 17, the intervention carried out by the firefighters in Pouzolles (Herault) was really not usual. They rescued a tawny owl.
In Pouzolles, north of Béziers, it was in the garden of a private individual that the firefighters of the Hérault of the CS de Magalas intervened on Monday. An owl was struggling in the protective net of a tree.

After “delicately cutting” the net in which she was trapped, the firefighters were able to free the adult tawny owl, explains Sdis 34 on Facebook this Tuesday. The nocturnal bird was then taken care of by the regional center for the protection of wild fauna, namely the LPO (League for the Protection of Birds) Occitanie, in Villeveyrac.
“As soon as she recovers, she will be brought back to her original place of residence to be released there”, assures Sdis 34 on the social network, showing a photo of the rescued animal. The firefighters took the opportunity to make an announcement, indicating that the Magalas rescue center was recruiting volunteer firefighters. ” So why not you ? they conclude.
