An 85-year-old man has been arrested by US police after shooting and wounding a 16-year-old who rang the wrong doorbell in Kansas City.
Ralph Yarl was going to pick up his two younger twin brothers, but went to the wrong house. The incident happened at 10pm on Thursday last week, according to the American prosecutor’s office.
The man who opened the door, an 85-year-old white man, has been arrested and charged on Monday with shooting and wounding the boy.

Two shots were fired from a revolver through a glass door, according to the prosecution.
Yarl was hit in the head and one arm. He did not cross the threshold, says Thompson, who adds that it does not appear that the two had any exchange of words during the incident.
