Amad’s late goal secures win for Sunderland over Birmingham City

Amad scored Sunderland’s winner over Birmingham City at the Stadium of Light on Saturday as the Black Cats came from a one-goal deficit to win 2-1.

The visitors took the lead in the 29th minute through George Hall, but Trai Hume equalized at half-time.

As the game dragged on and Sunderland were desperate for inspiration to come away with the three points, Amad once again shone and made the difference.

The Ivory Coast international picked up the ball on the right and outplayed two defenders before firing an arrow into the top corner to seal victory for Tony Mowbray’s side, despite Dennis Cirkin being sent off three minutes later.

His compatriot Hannibal also featured in the game, coming on in the 72nd minute for the Blues.
