The Ministry of Health reports that, as of today’s cut-off date, Monday, April 17, according to data from the Department of Health Information Statistics (DEIS), 2,757,143 doses of Bivalent COVID-19 Vaccine have been administered, corresponding to 33 .12% coverage of the target population estimated at 8,325,856 people.
Of the total doses administered, 238,552 correspond to health personnel under 50 years of age (62.62% coverage); 241,479 people with chronic diseases under 50 years of age (22.84% coverage); 532,189 to people between 50 and 59 years old (23.13% coverage); 738,517 to people between 60 and 69 years of age (42.64% coverage); 580,202 to people between 70 and 79 years of age (58.78% coverage); 298,594 people aged 80 and over (59.77% coverage); and 127,610 people from other prioritized groups under 50 years of age (9.33% coverage).
Regarding the primary vaccination schedules against SARS-CoV-2, which considers a target population of 15,200,840 people aged 18 and over, 94.31% (14,335,440) have completed their vaccination schedule.
During today’s session, Monday, April 17, from the target group of 18 years and over, 165 people were immunized. Meanwhile, in the target group between 3 and 17 years old, 1,268 people were immunized.

Regarding the reinforcement doses applied in the population over 3 years of age in the country, a total of 27,554,479 is reached. On the last day, 1,065 doses were administered, of which 125 correspond to people aged 18 and over, and 940 between 3 and 17 years.

In relation to the vaccination of children and adolescents between 3 and 17 years of age, which includes a total of 3,771,960 people, 89.45% (3,374,018) coverage is achieved with a complete scheme. In the group between 12 and 17 years old, 98.6% (1,474,229) of coverage with the complete scheme is registered, while the group between 6 and 11 years old reaches 90.82% (1,407,466), and in the group between 3 and 5 years 67.71% (492,323).
