Michael, a former member of the 12th Infantry Battalion stationed at Sarsfield Barracks in Limerick, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday 16th April 2023 at his residence in Sand Mews, Ennis. He is survived by his parents, Christy and Bridie, his daughters Sue-Ellen and Caroline, his grandchildren, sister Mary, and brothers Jim, Ger, and Noel, as well as his brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, wider family and friends.

The sudden loss of Michael has undoubtedly come as a great shock to all who knew and loved him. He was a compassionate and loving member of his community, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and warmth that will be deeply missed by all.

Michael’s remains will be reposing this Tuesday evening, April 18th, at Cross’s Funeral Home in Ballyneety from 5pm to 7pm. This will be followed by his removal to Caherline Church. His Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday morning, April 19th, at 11am, and he will be laid to rest at Inch St. Lawrence Cemetery.

During this difficult time, it is important to remember Michael’s legacy and to keep his spirit alive through the memories he has left behind. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and community, but his kindness and compassion will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace.
