Anton Sikharulidze Appointed Acting President of the Russian Figure Skating Federation

Olympic champion in pair skating Anton Sikharulidze appointed Acting (acting) President of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR). The corresponding decision was made by members of the executive committee of the FFKKR. Director General of the FFKKR Alexander Kogan, who has been acting since December 2022, resigned these duties voluntarily.

The candidacy of Mr. Sikharulidze was unanimously supported by all members of the executive committee. “I’m interested and I’m ready to get involved. President of the FFKKR Alexander Gorshkov died at the age of 76 on November 17, 2022. He has headed the FFKKR since 2010. The president of the federation is elected at the reporting and election conference, which is held every four years.
