Kozhikode: ADG PMR Ajit Kumar told the media that the UAPA has charged Shahrukh Saifee, the accused in the Elathur train burning case, on the basis of clear evidence. The ADGP said that it has been proved that Shahrukh himself committed the crime and the evidence has been obtained.
ADGP said that Shahrukh Saifi is a progressive extremist thinker. ‘He used to watch videos of terrorists like Zakir Naik and Isra Ahmed. Shahrukh came to Kerala with the plan of setting fire to the ground. Looking for help from anyone else. Shahrukh Saifee has a plus education. 27 years old. Studied in National Open School. It is the first time that he is coming to Kerala’- ADGP stated.
UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act) was charged against Shahrukh two weeks after he was taken into custody. The action is being taken when Shahrukh’s custody period is about to end tomorrow evening.
