Circle K, one of the largest networks of gas stations in Latvia, has introduced a new function to make life easier for its customers, that is, it will be possible to pay for fuel with a license plate. It seems that we have not seen anything like this until now – paying at the cash register is the most common, but paying at the pump using a machine or paying with the help of a smartphone app is also quite popular.
Basically, the app is used here as well – you need to download the “Easy Fuel Circle K” app, add your bank card data and car registration number to it. As stated on the company’s website, the customer’s license plate is read by a camera at the pump. The customer simply drives up, gets out of the car, can immediately choose the required type of fuel (95E, 98E or one of the diesel types), start refueling and then leave – the payment for the fuel will be made automatically. It would probably be good if the room was clean and not covered with mud or snow.
For now, this service is only available to individuals, but Circle K promises that it will be rolled out to business customers as well. This function is said to be available in most filling stations throughout Latvia, but more accurate information can be obtained in the app.
