Olkiluoto reactor finally commissioned after months of delay

Something went wrong during the test phase as well. Normally, the reactor should start supplying power by December last year, but a defect in a pump threw a spanner in the works. After several months of delay, the reactor has now been commissioned. “The tests have ended and electricity production has started today,” TVO reported. “As of today, about 30 percent of Finland’s electricity is produced in Olkiluoto”.
