Advocate Gindha Ansori Wayka and the Controversy over TikTok Criticism of Lampung

He accused Bima’s content of containing hoax. According to Gindha, the development problems in Lampung Province highlighted by Bima actually occur in other regions as well. In his opinion, Bima has to see other areas that have problems like the one the student from Lampung who is currently studying in Australia presented on his account, which went viral.

“The problems conveyed by Bima, regarding stalled projects, problematic roads, leaked National Examination issues, law enforcement that is not optimal, corruption and bribery, are not only problems that occur in the Lampung area. This is something that must be known. But other regions others too,” Gindha said in a video statement as quoted Republika.co.id in Jakarta, Monday (17/4/2023).

One of the things that Bima highlighted was the construction of damaged roads so that he labeled the leader in Lampung as ‘dajjal’. But it doesn’t deserve to be called reasonable, rather than making it commonplace it’s better to fix a slump ,” said one netizen.

The name Gindha Ansori Wayka was in public scrutiny after reporting an Indonesian citizen (WNI) student in Australia Bima Yudho Saputro for criticizing Lampung ‘dajjal’. Ansori reported Bima to Cybercriminal Polda Lampung, on Thursday (13/4/2023) with Article 28 Paragraph (2) and/or Article 45A Paragraph (2) concerning laws on information and electronic technology relating to hate speech.

He reported the account TikTok Bimax Reborn belonged to Bima to the police not because it was related to the content of criticism about Lampung Province. However, he admitted that he focused on reporting regarding the diction of mentioning the word “dajjal” in the video.

Bima’s family is said to have experienced intervention, interrogation and profiling from the police and the Lampung administration. In the aftermath, netizens united in condemning this, which was the same as silencing criticism. The Lampung government is considered anti-criticism by its own citizens.

Netizens finally rummaged and ‘ruined’ accounts Twitter, @gindha_ansori. Because, account Twitter becomes inactive alias disappears from the timeline.
