said the prime minister Sudanese Previous Abdallah Hamdok, “This is a war in which the victor has a loser, and the humanitarian situation is catastrophic, and the Sudanese people have no choice but the option of peace.”

He added in a press conference: We demand an immediate ceasefire and quick understandings, calling for a dialogue that leads to an agreement and the rejection of any foreign interference in Sudanese affairs.

He called on Arab and African countries to support the Sudanese people, who are going through very difficult humanitarian conditions, as he described it, adding: “We have not faced a crisis of this magnitude, and we hope that things will not get out of control.”

He explained that he communicated with the army and the Rapid Support Forces before the war broke out, saying: “I made long calls with them about the need not to succumb to escalation. I am still optimistic. No matter how obstructed the horizon is, there is still a possibility to sit down and address this issue.”
