Three individuals, including an active high-ranking Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) officer, voluntarily surrendered to authorities in Zambales, Philippines. The officer was known as “Ka Lanta” and worked as an intelligence officer for the CTG. Also surrendering were former CTG member, “Ka Toyo,” and former underground mass organization member, “Ka Gomer.” The trio turned over several weapons, including an improvised pistol, rifle grenade, and improvised shotgun. Another former rebel, “Ka Jhadie,” surrendered in Olongapo City and denounced the CPP-NPA before police personnel. These surrenders were facilitated by the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company-Zambales and the Olongapo City Mobile Force Company.
