Indonesia-China relations should be strengthened in order to promote world peace and create a better global order, according to Said Aqil Siradj, the head of the Indonesian Islamic Organization Friendship Institute (LPOI). Siradj called for closer collaboration, interconnection, and convergence between the two countries, and for greater business and educational ties. He also noted that as a developed country, China had the potential to lead Asia to greater heights of achievement. In addition, Siradj conveyed the LPOI’s appreciation of China’s role in mediating tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
