Former J&K Governor Satya Pal Malik has stated that he was asked by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to stay silent on the Pulwama attack, which claimed the lives of 40 CRPF personnel in February 2019. The Congress party has called for answers from the government regarding the incident. Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Bhupesh Baghel, has also targeted the Modi government over Malik’s claims in a tweet. Malik has also admitted that he made up a statement of Home Minister Amit Shah on PM Modi and has withdrawn his comment after 15 months. Meanwhile, the Congress has questioned why CRPF personnel were denied aircraft during the attack. The opposition has targeted PM Modi over Malik’s claims.
