A fight broke out at the Hyatt Hotel in Düsseldorf on Saturday afternoon. According to the police, a witness reported a shot, whereupon the officials appeared in a large-scale operation. Accordingly, a dispute between a group of ten to twelve people escalated. Furniture in the lobby was destroyed in the course of the brawl. One person was injured with a blow to the head.
When the police arrived at the hotel with a large number of forces, the group of people fled. Four suspects were arrested. A police helicopter was used to find the rest of the group. Police officers searched the building with submachine guns. The area around the hotel in the port of Düsseldorf was cordoned off on a large scale. Police later denied rumors of an exchange of fire.
