Indonesia’s Trade Minister urges youngsters to establish micro, small, and medium enterprises to contribute to the development of the economy.

Indonesia’s Trade Minister, Zulkifli Hasan, has urged young people to create micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to help develop the country’s economy. Speaking recently, he stated that the development of business ecosystems that unite MSMEs, modern retailers, export financing institutions, banks and marketplaces are key to achieving success. Encouraging and supporting entrepreneurs is therefore vital to establish such an ecosystem that can help Indonesia compete on the world market. The comments came as the government aims to issue 10 million business ID numbers, and Kadin looks to empower women in MSMEs through its Catering Academy Program.
