The European Space Agency (ESA) launched a spacecraft on Friday. Dubbed the Jupiter Icy Moon Explorer, or JUICE for short, the spacecraft will spend about 3.5 years studying Jupiter and three of its largest moons.
One of the mission’s goals is to explore the possibility of life on Jupiter, but it will take years to get started.
JUICE is not expected to reach Jupiter until July 2031.
