The Script’s Guitarist Mark Sheehan, Mourned by Devoted Fans After Passing Away.

Foreign news agencies reported that The Script band issued a statement through their own social network account, stating that Mark Sheehan, the band’s co-founder and guitarist. Died at the hospital on Friday, April 14, 2023 after falling ill for a short time. while he was only 46 years old.

The statement further stated that Sheehan is a much loved husband, father, brother, band member, and friend, and asks fans to respect the privacy of the Sheehan family and other band members.

Mark Sheehan was born on October 29, 1976 in Dublin. Married to Rina Sheehan and having three children, he has had a passion for music since childhood. He is a singer, songwriter and guitarist.

Between 1996 and 2001, Sheehan was a member of the band Mytown with Danny O’Donohue, before in 2001 he co-founded The Script with O’Donohue. He is the lead singer and songwriter. They were guitarists and Glen Power were drummers. They signed to Sony Music and moved to London.

The Script released their first full-length album, ‘We Cry’, and reached #1 in both Ireland and the UK charts, as did the three subsequent releases Science & Faith, #3 and No Sound. Without Silence, with the album Science & Faith reaching as far as the United States. and Australia ranked 3rd and 2nd on the charts respectively

Since then, The Script has toured around the world. There are many well-known songs, such as If You Could See Me Now, which were written to commemorate the passing of O’Donohue’s father and Sheehan’s parents.

However, last year, Sheehan suddenly took a break from performing on stage. Much to the confusion of the fans, O’Donohue told the media at that time that His band members took a break to spend time with their families. And the band supports Sheehan’s decision, stating that they are a brotherhood that will stay together no matter what.
