The star of the Saudi Al-Nasr Club, Portuguese, Cristiano Ronaldo, wished success to the French coach, Rudi Garcia, after he was dismissed from the club’s technical management following the succession of the team’s modest results.
Ronaldo wrote in “Story” on his official page on Instagram, “It was a pleasure working with you .. I wish you all success in the future.”
The “Don” comment came after a statement by Al-Nasr Club, published on Wednesday, which included its decision to disqualify Garcia, on the grounds of negative results.
Al-Nasr Al-Saudi wrote on its official website, “The management of Al-Nasr Club has officially decided to end the contractual relationship with the first-team coach, Mr. Rudi Garcia. We appreciate all the efforts he made with victory and wish him success.
Al-Nasr included Ronaldo at the end of last year in a resounding deal estimated at more than 250 million euros for two and a half seasons, in the hope of leading him to regain the titles absent from his coffers three years ago.
Al-Nasr, known in Saudi Arabia as “Al-Alamy”, is three points behind leaders Al-Ittihad Jeddah, seven rounds before the end.
An informed source told Agence France-Presse that “the club decided to terminate Garcia’s contract because the dressing room lost confidence in him, especially after the loss from Al-Ittihad” early last month, in the second defeat against the same team that eliminated him by three from the Saudi Super Cup semi-finals last January.
He pointed out that “the players complained more than once about Garcia’s technical style and his failure to benefit from the team’s energies.”
And after losing the lead against Al-Ittihad last month, Al-Nasr regained its balance and achieved two important victories at the expense of Abha and then Al-Adala, before falling into the clutches of a goalless draw against Al-Fayhaa last Sunday.
Al-Nasr fans on social media poured out their anger on Garcia, who considered him unsuitable for the team’s ambitions.
Officially.. Al-Nasr Al-Saudi dismisses its coach
On Thursday, the management of the Saudi Al-Nasr Club decided to dismiss the French first team coach, Rudi Garcia, after reports of disagreements between him and his players in the dressing room.
“If you get a Ferrari, you must be a skilled driver,” said a member of the Al-Nasr Fans’ Association, referring to Garcia’s inability to lead a team that includes a player the size of a “Madeira missile.”
