Gas station in Graz robbed at gunpoint, police searching for suspect

The 21-year-old employee was not injured. But she was in shock.

An unknown person attacked a gas station in Graz in the Ries district on Friday night and stole cash. He threatened the 21-year-old gas station attendant with a gun, she had to give him money from the cash drawer. Then the man fled. The woman suffered a shock, but remained physically unharmed, as the state police announced on Friday.

The robber entered the gas station around 10 p.m. with a black cloth over his mouth and first took groceries from a store shelf. Then he put the goods on the cash desk to be paid for and gave the servant cash. When she opened the cash drawer, he suddenly pulled out a pistol, threw a tote bag on the cash desk, and demanded money.

According to the description, the unknown perpetrator is of slim build, around 1.80 meters tall, had a higher voice without an accent and is probably Austrian.

He wore a gray hooded jacket with black inserts, black sweatpants, gray gloves and black shoes with white soles. The police are asking for witnesses to the journal service of the Styrian State Criminal Police Office on 059 133 60 3333.
