The Gerindra Party will call Deputy Mayor (Wawalkot) Medan Aulia Rachman because of the statement ‘alert non-natives in Medan’. Gerindra asked Aulia Rachman to provide clarification regarding his statement.
“We received a lot of questions from the public about the wawalkot statement,” said Chairman of the Honorary Council of the Gerindra Party Habiburokhman told reporters, Friday (14/3/2023).
Aulia Rachman was officially summoned by letter Number: 04-027/A/MK-GERINDRA/2023 addressed to the Gerindra Party DPD North Sumatra, the Gerindra Party DPC Medan City, and Aulia Rachman as a cadre of the Gerindra Party.
Aulia Rachman’s summons referred to the viral video and news regarding Aulia Rachman’s statement that in the next 20 years Medan will be controlled by non-natives.
The Gerindra Honorary Council asked Aulia to attend the Gerindra Party DPP, Jalan Harsono, Ragunan, South Jakarta, on Monday (17/4). Aulia was asked to attend and not be represented.
“We want to ask for clarification regarding this statement. In principle, Gerindra cadres should not be tendentious towards certain groups,” he added.
Previously, Aulia Rachman was criticized by North Sumatra PDIP Deputy Chair Aswan Jaya and North Sumatra Gerindra Secretary Sugiat Santoso for being wary of non-natives in Medan City. Aulia requested that her words be understood wisely.
“Please interpret this (non-native) language in wise language, with deep analysis, don’t use shallow analysis until it breaks, that’s simple,” said Aulia Rachman, as reported by detikSumut, Thursday (13/4).
Aulia said the non-native meaning she mentioned was targeting foreigners. Aulia deliberately used this diction as a trigger so that all Medan City residents have nationalism to protect Medan City.
