DJI has introduced a huge drone Inspire 3, which is aimed at professional filmmakers. The novelty is equipped with a full-frame camera that supports shooting 8K video. The aircraft will be available for purchase this summer.
The drone is equipped with a Zenmuse X9-8K camera built on the basis of a full-frame 8K sensor. The camera supports a wide range of colors and is compatible with a variety of DL mount lenses. Double ISO and more than 14 stops of dynamic range provide quality images in low light and make it more saturated.
Supports 360-degree panoramic shooting, full-frame shooting at 30 fps, and video recording in various formats, including CinemaDNG (up to 8K at 25 fps) and Apple ProRes RAW (up to 8K at 75 fps) . You can record 4K ProRes RAW video at 120 frames per second without cropping. The drone uses the DJI O3 Pro proprietary control and data transmission system with a maximum video stream transmission range of 15.2 km (when using one controller) and 12.5 km (when using two controllers).
FPV camera, visual sensors used for antenna positioning and memory card slot “seamlessly integrated” into the body of the drone, making the Inspire 3 compact and attractive enough to match “modern industrial aesthetics”. Nevertheless, the drone with a standard body kit weighs almost 4 kg, and its dimensions in flight mode are 176 × 709.8 × 500.5 mm. The FPV camera is adapted for shooting in low light conditions with a viewing angle of up to 161°.
The drone supports Waypoint Pro and omnidirectional sensing to support accurate flight paths (vertical accuracy up to 1.5 cm, horizontal accuracy up to 1 cm). The design provides nine sensors to help detect obstacles and avoid collision with them. A pair of hot-swappable TB51 batteries provide up to 28 minutes of flight time. The drone can accelerate up to 94 km / h, and the speed of ascent and descent is up to 8 m / s. The maximum flight altitude above sea level is 7000 meters with special propellers.
The new DJI Inspire 3 drone will go on sale at the end of June. To become its owner, you will have to pay $16,499 or 14,999 euros.
