Bayern Munich has suspended attacker Sadio Mane for one match for misconduct after the 3-0 loss in the Champions League against Manchester City.
Mané slapped teammate Leroy Sané in the face after the defeat in the dressing room. The altercation between the two Bayern players had already started on the field in the closing minutes.
“Sadio Mane will not be in FC Bayern’s squad this Saturday against Hoffenheim,” the club said. “The reason is bad behavior. On top of that, Mane will receive a fine.”
Missed several games
The 31-year-old Mane came over from Liverpool last summer. He has already missed several matches this season due to a leg injury and also the World Cup in Qatar with his country Senegal.
Mane scored six times in Bayern’s first seven games, but he hasn’t been accurate since October.
