Lucasfilm studios revealed the release of 3 feature films, about the world of “Star Wars”, in December 2025, during a conference held in the British capital, London. The company indicated that work is currently underway on the three feature films, the story of one of which takes place 15 years after the last trilogy, in which the British Daisy Ridley embodies, once again, the character “Rey”.
James Mangold, who is working on directing the fifth part of the famous “Indiana Jones” series, will direct one of the new parts of the film, which deals with “The Rise of the Jedi.”
The third film will be directed by director Dave Filoni, and it will deal with the war between the remnants of the Empire and the New Republic, and its events will take place in the present time, dealing with the escalating war between the remaining Empire and the nascent New Republic.
At the conference, it was confirmed that the year 2024 will not witness any release of the series, or even its celebration, as the first of the three upcoming movie releases will be announced in December 2025, in conjunction with the preparation for the celebration of Christmas and the New Year, and the Star Wars 2025 celebration is scheduled to take place.
