As part of the occasional testing of products that do not quite fit into the repertoire of our magazine, but somehow balance on the edge of “smart” electronics, I got my hands on a stick vacuum cleaner Xiaomi Vacuum Cleaner G11 (the former designation “Mi” is already deleted here by the official e-shop). It is the latest model of this series, and after a cursory examination of the parameters and their comparison with its predecessors, it was clear that I had something to look forward to. Especially as a person who has never really distinguished manual vacuum cleaners and finds their use annoying.
The Xiaomi G11 has a large, yet very crammed box, in which you can find the basic three parts of its construction (handle with control and container, middle rod and primary mobile attachment with brush), battery, wall hook with charging slots, adapter with cable and three another extension. As with models from other brands (I’ve seen that Dyson vacuum cleaners look similar, for example), you have a bit of a feeling that you’re not holding a home appliance, but sci-fi weapon from the movie with Tom Cruise. And that is the first piece of the “wow, I enjoy this” puzzle.
The basic attachment has an active rotating cylinder, which is able to very reliably collect everything that comes to it while gliding over the surface. What the suction power of up to 185 W can’t pick up (it’s really a fiddler), the brush spiral will rake and won’t let go. They are her great strength slats with blades that are capable of cutting hair, thread or carpet hair, which could jam the cylinder or reduce performance. This space is then cleaned much better. On the other hand, I see a disadvantage in the fact that the low chassis makes it impossible to vacuum larger objects.

When my wife used the new cleaner in our household for the first time, she stared at how much it managed to put into its tank in the places where our previous vacuum cleaner had been a few days ago. The level of hair and dust grew before his eyes. And that’s just about the automatic mode. The new G11 can work in Automatic, Eco and Turbo modes. The first cleverly switches the suction power and brush speed. It reacts, for example, when stepping on a carpet, and the infrared sensor, which assesses particles, advises here. A great golden mean with a duration of 20-30 minutes, with which you can run the whole apartment.
