PP-DB will broadcast eight lawyers to prepare a legislative program
There is no talk of a government. We have a clear position that we will not support a GERB cabinet with the first mandate or with their participation. This was commented by the co-chairman of “Continuing the Change” Asen Vassilev at a briefing in the parliament.
“All other interpretations are the free creations of a group of well-intentioned or not-so-well-intentioned analysts,” he emphasized.

Why negotiations are being conducted only with GERB, Vassilev clarified: “At the moment, the requirement is to unblock the work of the parliament by electing a chairman on a rotating basis between the two largest parties.”
PP-DB will broadcast a team of eight people – lawyers, to prepare a legislative program for the parliament. It should include the laws on the Recovery Plan, on Bulgaria’s admission to the Eurozone, on Schengen, on judicial reform and against domestic violence.
“Together with lawyers from GERB, these laws should be consolidated and, possibly, when the speaker of the parliament is elected, there should be a clear chronogram in time of how this legislation takes place, so that there are no surprises with additional laws”, Vassilev specified.
The co-chairman of “Continuing the Change” Kiril Petkov added that the priority of the current National Assembly is the law on the chief prosecutor, the Anti-Corruption Commission, the laws on the European Union, Schengen and the Eurozone.
“They are the important topic of the day. So we are going to talk to move them. These laws cannot wait forever, they depend on time and that is our priority. It is time to solve these problems step by step,” he said.
