“Activision’s Season 3 Ricochet: The Ultimate Anti-Cheat System for Call of Duty Games”

Jakarta

Cheater has become commonplace in many games, including the Call of Duty game series Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 made Activision.

But now Activision has released a new anti-cheat system called Season 3 Ricochet which promises to be difficult for cheaters to penetrate in Modern Warfare and Warzone. Really?

One of the new features is that the Activision and Ricochet teams can save gameplay for later review as part of an investigation. From there they can analyze the behavior of cheaters in Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0.

According to the Ricochet team, this new feature has helped a lot in the investigation of a number of suspicious accounts, which then led to the permanent banning of these accounts in all of the Call of Duty game series.

There is also a feature called Damage Shield, which, as the name suggests, will provide protection for players who don’t use cheats when fighting cheaters. So the weapons used by cheaters can still shoot but don’t cause damage.

Then there is the Cloaking feature, which makes honest players invisible to cheaters. As a result, cheaters will also not be able to shoot at honest players, as quoted by detikINET from Techspot, Wednesday (13/4/2023).

There are still other features such as Disarm which makes cheaters unable to use weapons. So in essence, besides being threatened with permanent blocking, these cheaters will also find it difficult to kill players who don’t use cheats.

Activision believes that these new features, when combined with in-game reporting by players, will help expand the permanent ban on cheaters, which in turn will lead to a better gaming experience in the Call of Duty game series.
