A case was also filed against the director’s brother Subash Chandra Bose in the Rs 1.03 crore check case. The brothers own a production house called Tirupati Brothers. In 2014, it had borrowed Rs 1.03 crore from PVP Capital Limited. In this regard, the check given to PVP was bounced.
Following this, the case was registered. Subsequently, Tamil director N Lingusamy was sentenced to six months imprisonment by the Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court in Saidapet in the check fraud case. The order was issued on August 22, 2022, but Lingusamy appealed to the court. Then on April 12, Madras Principal Sessions Court upheld the 6-month sentence imposed by Saidapeta Court.
Lingusamy had come out with a response after the court verdict came out last year. He says that there is a dispute between PVP Capital and our production house, Tirupati Brothers Film Media Pvt. The court gave its verdict today on the petition filed by them. He had said that we will appeal against this order and face the issue legally.
In the last few years, there have been major controversies related to Lingusamy. Many of the films produced by his production house were theatrical flops. Due to this, he had to face a huge financial loss. His last film was The Warrior with Telugu actor Ram Pothinni. It was a huge failure at the theatre.
